Campaign branding
Whoever said never judge a book by its cover didn’t work in publishing. Every book has its own visual language, as determined by the cover—but the cover can only work so hard. With each campaign, my goal is to take that cover art and expand and elevate it. Essentially, I am fleshing out a cohesive branding scheme for each book to spark readers’ interest.
In addition to designing, I am also brainstorming creative solutions and writing engaging copy with marketers, collaborating with my fellow designers, and keeping target audiences front-of-mind every step of the way.
From million-impression ad campaigns to social media assets for authors, I aim to create pixel-perfect auxiliary materials for our titles that lead to books in the hands of readers who will love them.
COME & GET IT
A novel by Kiley Reid
Cover art by Vi-An Nguyen
I had the pleasure of being the lead designer for the newest novel from celebrated New York Times bestselling author Kiley Reid.
Come and Get It presented a unique challenge: how do I design a marketing campaign for a book set at a university, without the assets skewing too young adult, or overly collegiate? I let the vibrant colors and beautiful typefaces do the heavy lifting, while throwing in nods to college life with bulletin board assets.
Come and Get It hit the New York Times bestseller list its very first week on sale, and was a Good Morning America Book Club selection for January 2024.
Obitchuary
custom mailer assets
Ahead of the publication of their book, based on their podcast of the same title, the authors of Obitchuary: The Big Hot Book of Death, had fifty special mailers sent to their fans, select media, and booksellers. For this mailer, I designed a custom bubble mailer, matchboxes, and a postcard.
The authors wrote a book that is both hilarious, informative, and as fun and silly as they are, so I wanted to make sure these creatives matched their energy.
Penguin summer giveaway 2023
I had an absolute blast designing the Summer 2023 giveaway campaign for Penguin. I drew all the elements on Procreate, opting for a fun, colorful risograph print style.
I created social media assets, postcards, and table displays for this campaign, which were featured on all Penguin socials, and were on display at the Penguin Random House booth at San Diego Comic Con.

Romance author panel hosted by Putnam
Putnam hosted six of their romance authors in May of 2024 for a panel discussion and Q&A about their work in the Romance genre. I designed an evite, posters, nametags, cocktail menu, tote bag, and table toppers for this event which had over 100 attendees.
